Don't get me wrong, please don't get me wrong. But, this is the kinda thing that gets me so annoyed and at the same time, very sad. For those of you who watching "Khloe & Kourtney take Miami", you saw how Khloe now has her own radio show. Are you fucking serious? I cant stand the fact that because you are a celebrity, you have automatic rights to also call yourself, an "author", a "designer", and now a radio host?!

Here I am busting my ass for 4 years, interning, working, hustling at radio stations, learning the ins and outs, running WSOU on my own, boards all that with my eyes closed, and here comes Khloe, not knowing shit about radio, and because of her last name, she gets her own show. Not on some rinky dink station either, Y100, which is also home to Elvis Duran and the Z morning zoo. Does she even know how to "hit the post"? Yea, didn't think so....

Neverending Night

Last night felt like it was never ending...
First I hit up the Marc Jacobs event, he was launching his new perfume, Lola. It smelled great! Very intimate, a lot of "interesting" people, good fruity drinks..
Hudson Terrace- not to packed, a lot of suits, the night was wonderful, so the patio was perfect, kept the theme of the night going- 3 more Goose and Pina!
Rivington Hotel- This was just a melting pot! Loved it! Was getting down dancing with my new Russian friends! They can drink! Ryan Leslie performed and he isnt as fly as I thought, very skinny, but he killed it, upstairs was so nice, they were giving us all flowers, rose petals on the floor as we walked in. It was great!
Finally time to go home, I was so ready to get in bed, and it was so early!
Good times though...

RockStar: Not for Everyone

Why does everybody want to be a rockstar alluvasudden? Damn, everyone wants to shave half their head, go bald, neon green nails. It doesn't look fly on everyone. Keri Hilson can do that, she has a great body and a unique style, we can thank her in the Knocks You Down video for bringing this "rochic" look to us. Keri totally pulls it off, but now look at the pic- Cassie- she is trying way to hard to "stand out", Mama- be yourself, you were beautiful then, you are an R&B singer, stop it.

What else can people think of these days! So many ideas that surround us, and all of them somehow have the ability to make our lives that much easier. Just read about a new application that you can download on your phone called "Got2Go" ... Its a timed "real" phone call to get you out of whatever situation you might be in. Maybe its that 3 hour meeting that you just can no longer bear, maybe you are on a disastrous date that you want to run out the door, well this gives you the perfect reason to escape. You give it a time, say what you want it to say, example : "emergency at the house" and you will get a phone call OR text! So bizarre, but yet so useful! God knows I couldve used that a couple times last week! lol

I just got word that this girl, Valentin, has gone missing... last seen, Perfections on Tuesday. For those of you who dont know Perfections is a strip club. This is truly an upsetting thing to hear and I hope she is okay and God is watching over her.

News like this brings me to talk about women in strip clubs. Ladies, its not cute for that to be your hangout, you are NOT going to meet the best man for you there. Yeah, I know, its cool, you meet "ballers", free drinks and all that, (trust me, I used to think it was cute too.) But in the end, you met him at a strip club, where he was giving his money to some women shaking her ass in his face and we all know what goes down in strip clubs...

If you arent there with your man, then theres really no reason to be there, give yourself a place, but dont let it be at the bar at Jersey Girls, ya know? So, its official. My favorite couple, Kim and Reggie have broken up. *tears*

They are saying that it was just distance that drove them apart. Reggie wanted her to move to New Orleans, but she wanted to stay in LA. Maybe some weren't raised to realize that in love, sacrifices must be made. She chose her career over her love. I hope she doesn't regret this down the road. Maybe they'll even get back! Hope floats, doesn't it?

I'm sure it wont be long until she finds another tall, dark and handsome. Maybe she'll hit up Ray J for part Deux of her famous tape, lol. Why not?

I had the most amazing time, most times I wish I could have stayed. I had gone to Colombia at the most perfect time, just when I thought my "world" was ending. Taking this trip was the best thing for me and being by my brothers side again, words cant describe. We are truly cut from the same cloth, I am him in a woman version. I wish I can share every picture, but you'd be here all night! May God bless my brother now and always, he has come a long way, and I'm his biggest fan!

So many questions you must ask! So new to this shit, I wish I could skip this step...This man seems nice, has good qualities, but I just don't know, I don't know...Is being afraid of something new going to have me miss a possible opportunity with a good man? Is two dates even enough to be contemplating a relationship? But then why waste your time if you know or don't think he could be a "partner in crime" (take that line how you want) haha. Starting over is so damn hard- this shit is not for me... is it too late to join a convent???

Edgewater, NJ was named #4 on the list, with the average person living there making at least $105,830 a year!!!! What! I worked down there for almost 4years, where the hell were they then! UGH! lol
Anyway, if you are a certified Golddigger, getting some coffee by the Starbucks, or shopping (or window shopping) at Jewelry Exchange might be your best bet!
Come to think about it, I kinda need to go that Target down there this weekend...hmmmm

Last Night

Was hilarious. I went to a Twisted Sister event at China Club, actually I think the event was called Rock Of Ages. Anyway, coming from WSOU, I was surrounded by heavy metal/rock for 4 years, and grew to love it. Needless to say, the rocker chick in me came out. I cant imagine what going on tour with them must be like! I was introduced to everyone, and they were all so nice. After that, went over to Amalia, it was cool, and I got VIP parking right next to the red ferrari! lol... After I was done there, had to head over to 44th... which I still cant understand why it took me an hour to get from 55th and broadway to 44th and 8th. So fucking bizarre...

A Lifetime in a year...

This day last year was a Sunday and I was in Queens, assuming the role of the good girlfriend, ripping and running, meeting deadlines, and going against the current, in every way-fighting for what/who I loved and never cared what the fam thought- Unconditional love. I wish I knew that a year from that Sunday, I was to be single...Getting fed promises that never would come to fruition. In a year, I feel like I've lived a lifetime. A year ago today I was in love with my man, today I'm in love with my ex.
But we're no longer holding on to what WAS, let me focus on what WILL BE... and I know I will be partying my past away tonight! There's nothing like a summer Monday night in NYC!!!

Kim was hosting, so you know I had to be there! Got all done up wearing one of mommys little vintage numbers, looking like I was the 4th Kardashian (lol)... Got in and went straight for the free liquor, c'mon you know times are rough! The more money I can keep in my pocket the better ;)

The crowd was a little funny, I dont know, it was a bit odd. The Housewives came out to play, Jill Zarin (NY), Danielle Staub (NJ)- Yes, the "book" one, and Lance Bass, oh wait, he's not part of the Housewives, lol, but was there... A couple other B/C listers were there... and then here comes Kim...

I'm so excited, so groupiefied! But I dont care, I love Kims swag... she goes has a seat in the corner with Khloe and Jonathan Cheban(publicist/asshole)- ask me if she got up from the corner the whole night? NO

Then Jonathan says to me that shes not taking pictures with anyone, what? That got me so mad, him and his stank face because noone gave two sh*ts about him. What? because he was on one episode of Kardashians, I'm supposed to give a f*ck?

So what did I do? Take pictures OF her, instead of WITH her, lol... My girl looked me out and was trying to track her down! So funny, either way it was a good night, and I'm sure I'll have another encounter with Kim soon.

Hillary Duff was just named Ambassador for the youth in Bogota, Colombia! This is so wonderful, I love Hilary(and so does Sugy), shes one of the VERY FEW, who are young stars and hasn't been in any sex scandals. She truly is a beautiful person and keeps herself busy doing charity work. She is truly a role model.

Hil will be in Bogota sometime between August 1st and the 15th.

The Freaks come out at Night

Yesterday I was supposed to show face at this place, Amalia/D'Or, well... I didn't. Instead I chose to walk the whole Central Park and just breathe in all the nasty fresh horse poop. It was so relaxing, I decided to sit on the nearest bench, next to the water and just people watch. I was amazed at the variety of people that I saw. I think I saw someone from every part of the world, not only that, but also, all types of characters, hippies, rockers, backpackers. It felt so good to be part of this amazing place, where you can taste whatever flavor your ummm,tongue? desires, whatever color you choose to paint with. What some might call "freaks" were out and about, but who am I? They were probably looking at me and thinking the same thing because my glare was burning a hole through them, staring at everyone as if I had never been in mass population before, as if I had just been let out, like Girl Interrupted. Not only did the *freaks* come out, but so did the damn bugs, and boy, I must have some sweet blood because they ate me right up! Looking like I got the chicken pox... *sigh*

Babygirl in Flight

So my babygirl left today. I know its only 10 days but being without her seems like an eternity. Its amazing the bond that some have with one another. That little girl means the world to me and I don't think there is anything I wouldn't do for her. Caring for her and always being by her side since the day she was born, I feel as she is part of me. I mean, we sleep together almost every night, my cuddling partner! Shes my roaddog, she's my life. I'm about to start crying right now, just thinking about her not being home when I get there. Hope these 10days fly by...

Good For Nothing

So last night after the show, I hop in the truck around 1am, after a long work day, I'm so thrilled to be heading back home, thoughts of my comfy big bed, thinking about cuddling with my bear, smiling as I'm heading down 10th ave.. when, POP! There goes the tire. You've got to be kidding me, I sit in the car thinking. Who am I going to call at 1something in the am to help me out??? Obvious, the only person I know in the city who would be up, but calling and texting to no avail... Luckily I remembered all the tire spots and was able to get there and get it fixed, some dollars/hours later, I was on my way. But the whole point of this is that this person who said they would do anything for me, couldn't even pick up the phone during what I felt was an "emergency". So this person promised to do anything? Yes, more like ANYTHING EXCEPT EVERYTHING. Dont volunteer yourself for shit if you cant keep your word, why is it so hard for people to keep their words nowadays? Good for nothing, thats what it is. But I realized that I didnt need any help afterall, got that shit taken care of on my own. So sad, that all we have is ourselves.

So last night my boy takes me to R&B live showcasing new talent at Providence (really nice place). Jeremih was set to perform so I HAD to go, since I'm obsessed with the sexy lil song. It was a real chill place, a lot of industry suits, not packed at all, laid back, it was great. The band was playing, drinks flowing, people mingling, and here I am just waiting for my song to come on... as predicted he was an hour late. Finally he came on, real cute, wore an MJ inspired jacket which was fly, sang three songs, one of which was Birthday Sex. At the end of these, at most 10 minutes, right after he ended Birthday Sex, he put the mic down and walked out...

WHAT?

Are you kidding me? You dont even say goodnight? or thanks? Just walk out and leave like if he had just had the performance of a lifetime. Who the hell does this lil ass 20yr old think he is? Not even Kanyes big ass ego would do some shit like that. I was so upset, felt like throwing my water bottle at him. Lame ass, rocking a mohawk, somebody needs to tell him that was like 6 mths ago, my girls dog has that hairstyle, so what does that say about you???

I might be ignorant...

to some things, and I know people deal with loss in very different manners. I just thought it was so weird that Joe Jackson and Janet Jackson would show up at the awards. 3 days after your brother passed, you are going to an award show? I understand that it was a tribute to him and all,but damn, to be around all that music and madness and people? They couldve even sent in a video or something. I don't know. I find it almost disrespectful in a way, but everyone has their own beliefs/likings and maybe. Maybe you just don't know how you would deal until you are in that situation, that family has always been in the limelight, so maybe its something they "needed" to do, like protocol or something? Either way, not only the "music" world but the world in whole lost a beautiful soul, and no matter how tainted his life was, he gave us happiness through his music, and happiness is not something that many know how to give or even offer.

BET Awards...

Did everyone get to watch them? If not, you didnt miss much, granted they had to pull together a "brand new" show in 48 hours because of Michael's passing. I watched the whole show and a little of the after show and just have a few comments:
Beyonce's performance getup- did she wear that on her wedding night too? Does she really think she looks like a "virgin"? What exactly is she trying to portray? The song is Ave Maria and Angel, why did she have a wedding gown on, AND a crown? Besides that- she is amazing and so beautiful even with minimal makeup.
Jamie Foxx- He did okay, but I felt he was just a little disrespectful, almost making light of MJ's passing in some instances. BUT he can sing, boy can he sing. He did a beautiful job with I'll be there.
Alicia Keys- WOW- she looked amazing and is so well spoken, she inspires me.
Lil Mama- the girl who sings "lip gloss is poppin"- well, I do truly believe she is older than 35, her skin is saggy, she just looks so raggedy and old... i dunno
Ginuwine- I was talking to my boy about him all night, I cant get enough of him. He still looks like his pony days. He was there with his wife, Sole, who looked like she swallowed 3 golfballs(yes, I'm hating on her,lol)
Jay Z- Why cant I find my own J? Wait... thats not what I mean, I meant, a good dude, could have any initial,lol, ya know, I'll be his C... I love him and Beyonce together :)

Slowly but surely...

getting over my swine flu(yes, I took it upon myself to diagnose it). I woke up so happy today! Weather is FINALLY getting a little better AND its my last day of work, next week I'm on furlough and I cant wait to just relax. I had a great Wednesday, networked, went bowling and ended up a cigar lounge, had such a good time. And the wierdest thing happened to me... I was driving home on 17, and all of a sudden my truck gets hit with something, so I get in my driveway and theres and egg dripping down the trunk! HAHA, my car got egged!! Who does that? Really? It was so random... Def gonna wash my truck this weekend, maybe even con agua bendita! ;)
I'm going to the primas house today, have a couple drinks, ok fine, more than a couple, eat a little, looking forward to some yummy Chinese today!!! Catch up on the bullshit of our everyday life.
I finally feel like things are coming together. Its amazing the good things that come to you once you allow yourself to be blessed and be part of something so much bigger than yourself.

2 more days till I get some rest, I cant wait for my "staycation" a week of not doing sh*t, how sweet life is. I don't have anything planned, but not having to get up early and schlep my ass to work will be funatabulous. It better be nice weather too, bc I plan on heading to some lakes/beaches, get acquainted with Earth again,try to get it together...

So how many of you watched the "Kendra" show? I did, and I loved it! So hilarious, she was a hot mess, but she DID have a stripper pole in her living room, haha! Anyway her relationship with football player Hank Baskett looks really genuine and he looks like he truly adores her... so the GREAT news is that they are expecting their first child together! He's hot and shes cute, I'm sure they will make a fly lil football player, or new generation of a Playboy cover model, hehe! Its a little scary to think about Kendra having a baby though- given the fact that she doesnt know how to make Hot Pockets, how ever will she warm up the babys milk?

Natural Star

that's what I am... Ok, okay, let me stop, lol.
I had an audition on Wednesday for a radio gig (don't want to give too much away right now)- so I go in (by myself) and theres girls all dolled up, face painted, friends tagging along. I felt a certain kind of way bc I went on my own, but c'mon who goes to an audition with someone?
So-I go in, looking how I look everyday, regular and fly, haha... funny but true (I had on my new Dior lip gloss from Saks the day before,lol) I tried talking to some of the chicks there and they were not trying to have it- intimidation is a bitch. Giving me, as my girl would say, "elevator eyes"!
The audition was on camera and with a famous singer from the bachata group "Aventura" - he was real down to earth, and kinda cute...
Needless to say I killed it.
If I don't get this, I know its rigged! LOL
Anyway, I stayed with everyone at the station and got all their contact info, it was great, became bff's with the photographer(you know how I do!) taking pics all night! Even going out to lunch with him next week!
They spoke about me for like 10minutes on air yesterday and are all rooting for me. They were a great group and definitely keeping in touch no matter what.

I had an event on Tuesday at Saks and it was so wonderful! Jennifer Weiner was our guest speaker and we all received a copy of her new book, Certain Girls. She was so funny and really uplifting. She signed all our books too, she wrote on mine "You rock!"- so funny.
While we were there, Dior was there doing makeovers and I got mine, which was really nice, but that whole foundation thing is a bit much, we had champagne (yes, like 6 glasses) and crabcakes, my favorite,yum...
The best part of it all was a 15% discount card for the day, woohoo!
Left the event and walked around Rockefeller Center for a while, watched people looking so happy, it was beautiful out, so I definitely enjoyed the walk.
It was such a nice night and event. Love being around people with the same interests/goals...

Back in action...

I was out of commission yesterday, apologies for that, but I'm back and better than ever. There was this negative cloud hanging around me for a while, and I'm pretty sure, that after Wednesday, that cloud wont be coming back, ever. And I have only one person to thank. Its so funny because what we see as tragedy, is only truly a blessing, we cant see clearly through the tears that we drown in, but once you wipe them away, your focus is back. Thank you for those who stood by me and heard all my cries, but I truly believe this chapter is finally closed. Time for happiness again.. only good times ahead, I'll make sure.

For a new watch. I'm so over looking at my wrist and seeing nothing. I used to look over at my left wrist and see bling, ah yes, the good ol days...
I need that back, so I'm cutting back on the clothes and shoes and really going to purchase myself another fly watch. I truly want the one I used to have , the one I bought myself as a graduation gift, the one that got stolen along with my car, thanks to Mr.X - but I digress...
Not sure I want the "regular" Michelle watches, I mean, geez, I bought my best friend one like 5 years ago,lol (always ahead of the trends!), don't want another "Toy" acrylic watch, which btw, was lost in Mr.X's place...
Come to think of it- he really should be the one to buy me my new watch, dammit! lol

Yes, its time(no pun intended) for a new watch. This time, I'll try my best to keep it on me.

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was relaxing. I enjoyed spending time with the family. Usually, Saturdays I get up, get dressed and run all my errands, but this Saturday I had an unexpected visitor - which is always welcome. For a few hours time stood still and it was like nothing ever changed, as if I had stepped back into time, and for those few hours, I soaked in happiness, living in the moment, bc thats all it was... a moment.
I also went out with my cousin to a little Mexican restaurant, which was really good, but had me tasting the food all night (GROSS). A few shocking revelations and a few glasses of wine later... I was ready to take my ass home...

Eyebrow Nazi

Today I have an appointment with the famed Christine Chin, who does eyebrows for Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss, Penelope Cruz, and even my girl Jewelz! She is an eyebrow guru and I'm so excited to go to her. Ive been letting my eyebrows grow out for the past 2 weeks (got me looking crazy) just so she can give them a new shape. I'm going during lunch, do I will give you an update a little later on in the day.

Last Night...

So yesterday after work and after the "toga party", yes my job had a toga party, very odd... I went to meet a film director for an initial meeting. What I thought was going to be an indie film, turns out to be a TV pilot, which is so much better! He def liked what he saw and gave me the part!!! I don't want to disclose too much yet, but as things develop, I'll def keep you posted. Very excited getting back into my hustle!
The funny part about last night, was a voicemail I received... I just hope that she knows that when you come after me, as my girl said, she has to work 10 times harder to even try to come close to what I was/am. It is what it is...
BTW- Denver came up last night!

My boys didnt take it...

2 upsets in a row! Oh boy... I thought we had last nights game in the bag, but as I always say, it aint over till the buzzer sounds. First Denver, now Bron? At least it was just the first game for each, better be different tonight. Impossible to lose by 1 point... crazy. Its always so much fun watching the game with someone who enjoys basketball as much as I do, the competition is always there and the adrenaline is always way up! Love it!
Also, LaLa isnt the only one in some beef, word is that Trina and Kobe's wife, Vanessa, were talking sh*t to each other during Game 1- cant wait for tonight! These playoffs are the best! lol

Walking Away...

So we knew this was coming... T.I's sentence was just reduced to 2 months. Just goes to show that when you have fame and money, you can pretty much get away with anything. I mean, really, for possesion of fire arms (which do indeed kill people) he's going to do 2 months? Might as well tell him to stay his ass home and keep making kids, cause he's not going to change in 2 months. Such a crock of sh*t this legal system is...

One of my best friends got engaged!!! Ironically, she started off as my professor, but even after graduation, she still teaches me alot. She is such a beautiful person and deserves to be as happy as she is. She is young , successful and so generous with her heart. I know she will make a wonderful wife and mommy! Congrats J!
