Last night I...

Went to dinner with a friend. We went to a French Bistro on 54th and Madison, I ordered roasted chicken (bad call) Its sucked! I looked like I had a damn eating disorder eating only the greens... we all know I'm far from disorder! lol. Afterwards, we went to my friends office in the Sony building and I got a nice little tour... very nice building, very clean and a lot of security!Kinda looked like the radio station with all the artists plaques, it was funky. I came out of there with Ciaras new album that drops next Tuesday. Its actually a great album, very upbeat. I was also given the Charlie Wilson album, I'll let you know about that once I get to it. Anyway, I had a nice time and got home nice and early. Gots to get the beauty sleep!!!
BTW- did anyone catch that Bulls game?!!! Had me on edge!

Running for Choos?

So, NYC is going crazy with sample sales... but tomorrow there's one that all you ladies with shoe fetishes have been waiting for! The one, the only, JIMMY CHOO Sample Sale!!! From 1-7pm shoes will be flying out of the store, and dumb broads who don't work will be on line from 9am (maybe earlier if they are really desperate)... As for me? Don't think I'll make it, rather just work hard, go to Neimans and spare myself last years designs and the visions of ashy ass toes!!! HAHA. First Steps, Next Steps

This weekend, while lil man was taking his first steps, I took my next steps... Spring cleaning came around, and I threw away something that might seem very small to some... but it took alot for me. It hurt like CRAZY, but why hold on to something that is no longer mine, probably was never mine... I threw away his toothbrush, along with his towel... I chucked it so hard into the trash can, mad as hell, that he chose his path, but hurt me along the way, knowing damn well, he had a good strong woman on his side, but he didn't care, he was selfish. Summer is on its way... Good will come, my path is clear and I'm protected... I'll be alright, actually, I'll be fine.
Whats next? "His drawer"... damn, I might need a drink before I start that one!

So last night I went to the NFL Draft Party at Mansion, my girl Kim K was there!... this is all fun at the moment... but its not fulfilling. I'm so over the bs, this isnt me. I feel like I'm going out JUST to keep myself busy, but at the end of the night, I still come home to the same bed, and theres still only one thing on my mind. When the music stops, when the short dress comes off, reality strikes and I'm back alone. I'm so angry right now. The people I meet are cool, the places I go are fabulous, but its not what I want...

Happy Birthday Pumpkin!!!

My little man turns 1 today!!! Wow, it seems like it was just yesterday when I saw him pop out, literally popped out! The image is forever embedded in my brain... Its crazy how fast a year goes by, and how so many things can change. I used to carry him with one hand, now I strain my back trying to lift him! He's such a boy, falls down and doesn't even blink, eats dirt and smiles, lol! I cant wait until he starts running around, I know he will be my road dog this summer!

Mr.Softee brings the chills...

Its always an awesome feeling when Mr.Softee comes around, no? The feeling that summer is underway, warm weather, walks in the parks, kids running around, good times ahead...
Well today, my encounter with Mr.Softee wasn't so sweet, more bitter sweet than anything else. You see, I've been doing okay so far, but darn it, it seems like everything around me reminds me of my past, yes, even a damn ice cream truck. Which really shouldn't be an issue, but I just hold on to the good memories, and getting my vanilla cone with colored sprinkles was always an adventure, from midtown to Harlem, it was always a good time.
Needless to say, I said "Eff Mr.Softee, and walked right past, just like I'm walking past my own past...

Officially a Godmother!

Yesterday was such a great day! It was my nephews(now also my Godson's) baptism. It was a perfect day, sunny, bright and perfect temp. I was so nervous in the church, I was tearing up, complete emotional mess! Its such an honor to be Mateos Godmother, he is beautiful and such a good boy, looking at him makes me happy. He truly is a boy, I always wanted to have a boy first, they are rough and you can pretty much do anything with them!
The dinner was great, my sister surprised us all with a DJ, so we danced all night! I think my aunt dislocated her hip! It was so nice to see all of us together and having a great time. I think the night was a success.

So I went out last night with a friend... we went to eat and then to the Grace hotel. Really cool bar, it has an indoor pool and swim up bar with views to each side, sweet. It was a nice crowd, Although mainly tourists, the reason why I knew they were tourists is because there were these 4 girls in the pool and really acting like they were in the club, like really going hard... they MUSTVE burned at least 1000 calories, yes thats how they were dancing! I mean damn, if I was trying out for ABDC, they mustve been trying out for MC Hammer's new joint, lol... ok lemme stop. That was funny...
I was mainly people watching and hadn't realized how much fun that could be, I would try to guess what everyones situation was or what they were thinking, silly me...
My night ended early, got home about 1230, but I definitely had a good time and had great company... Check out the hotel...

Last Night revisited...

Okay, so I haven't stopped thinking about last night and how one incident almost made me wet my pants! Okay, so the person I was with (she chooses to remain anonymous,TD,lol)... So I introduce her to someone I had just met, she shakes his hand, exchange hellos and she goes about her business... 5 minutes, YES, 5 MINUTES LATER, I turn around and tell her that this person was talking to her- so in his face, she says "Whos he? I dont know him? I dont know you" LMAO. Dude- you JUST met this man 5 minutes ago... Seriously, he mustve felt some kind of way... cause damn, were you that unimpressionable??? Or my girl had way too much Diddy juice... ewwww, that didnt sound good...Too much Ciroc! lol... actually we were drinking Goose, but thats beside the point. I had such a great time, bc T just stood up and ran the damn show, she might as well have been the "Patty Laurant" of it all!

And how do I look, at 4am , coming out of my wallet with $3 bucks for her to get to Brooklyn!!! HAHAHA.. wow...

In search of my Bad Boy...

So last night was the Day 26 album release party at the Ed Hardy store.. what a night it turned out to be!!! Hair soaking wet from walking from the car to the store (dont ask why I bothered to blow dry it), rain going thru my rips in my jeans... yes, my Colombian jeans, lol! Finally got to wear them. In search of a new bad boy... I ended up being surrounded by them.. all night. Rappers, singers, football players, so many I didnt know what to do! HAHA. Let me stop. I'll give you a quick rundown wout too much information..

-Store was hot as hell

-One type of liquor ( damn, I should have taken a flask,lmao)

-Cameras everywhere(Cue Lady Gaga's -Paparazzi)

-Horrible body odor

-Took over BadBoys transportation(Walk? Who me?)

-Hit up 3 clubs, last one being where Clue was spinning

-VIP status all the way

-No shortage of liquor once we left the store...

-Earrings went missing

-Acting like I was trying out for Americas Best Dance Crew

-Keri Hilson came on, Clue cut it in the middle (got me tight as hell)

-Girls hating(whats new?)

-Feet were swollen

-5am- time I got home

-2 hours- time I slept

-Did I find the bad boy I was looking for? No. I guess I have to kiss a few more frogs before I find him!

Shop at TopShop?

I dont get it... what was all the fuss about TopShop opening up a store in the city? The store opened the day after I left, so I havent paid a visit yet, but my friend did. She is a HUGE Topshop fan, so needless to say, she laid down some cash there. Curious to see their inventory(and what the whole fuss was about) I went on their US website and honestly, I can buy those same pieces at Forever 21 at a third of that price. The prices are ridiculous... $91 for a jersey dress? Really? Go to Target, if you want Jersey fabric so bad, you can even get the sheets and make a damn dress for 20 bucks. I wasnt impressed at all. One cool thing is that they have personal shoppers for you. Someone helps you pick our your clothes, holds it while you shop, takes you to the dressing room(no lines) and runs back and forth when the size is to small (lol)... its cool, kind of like having your own personal bitch.... Good to be back... I think?!

Wow... I had such an amazing time in my country. I cried coming back, its always sad to leave, especially when you are leaving someone you love behind... my brother lives there. The food was amazing, I always let loose when I'm down there... no such things as diets when I'm there! I had a blast with my brother and its so amazing how similar we are... we laugh at the same things, we get irritated at the same things, we even drink our coffees the same!!! I was also VERY lucky at the casinos... I'm hooked! Next stop- VEGAS baby! Shopping down there was also great, I blew a lot on jewelry, such unique things you can find. I hope to get the pictures up by today. Though it feels good to be back... I'm already planning my next trip out there. Change here and there is always a good thing!
